David Gronbach
Practicing since 2001 with experience in New York and Connecticut Courts, David has been involved with a wide array of litigation and appeals. David now works primarily in Special Education representing parents and students in NYC who have been denied a FAPE and seek relief. David's experience as a former special education IHO in NYC is an important asset. David continues to serve as an Administrative Law Judge (IHO) for the rest of New York State.
David served as Mayor of the Town of New Milford, CT from 2015-2017 and ran for CT State Senate in 2020.
David is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bars and is admitted in both State and Federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court. David received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany and his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law, with certifications in environmental and international law.
Vanessa M. Gronbach
Vanessa has practiced education law since 2003, representing school districts and parents in special education and disciplinary matters. Prior to working in the education field, Vanessa was an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, where she was responsible for the prosecution of both jury and non-jury trials, hearings, and indictments.
Vanessa has been working as an Administrative Law Judge/Hearing Officer (IHO) for special education cases in the State of New York since 2015. Vanessa was an IHO in NYC until 2024 and now represents students who claim the NYC DOE denied appropriate special education programs or services.
Vanessa is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bars and is admitted in both State and Federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court. She received her undergraduate degree from Pace University and her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law.
Vanessa is fluent in Spanish.
